Best of Texas Contest
The Best of Texas online practice contest is for Texas high school students. The contest consists of your choice of twelve subjects—Accounting, Biology, Calculator, Chemistry, Computer Science, Copy Editing, Current Issues & Events, Literary Criticism, Number Sense, Mathematics, Social Studies, and Spelling & Vocabulary. You may choose to enter any or all twelve subjects. The contest will consist of three rounds of tests in each subject.
The contest is held at each participating school, and any number of students may participate. There are two weeks in which to give each test.
The sponsor will receive the tests online, make copies, give one test every two weeks to the students and submit the scores online. Results will be available to view online throughout the contest.
Best of Texas provides a valuable source of materials for your students for UIL practice without the travel.
Plaques and certificates will be awarded to the top teams and individuals in each grade level (9th, 10th, 11th, 12th) in each classification (1A, 2A, 3A, 4A, 5A, 6A).
